1. Software Engineer, Cloud Operations (HR title: SysOps & Operations Specialist) · Bank ABC (ila Bank)

   Nov 2022 – present
   • Run day-to-day cloud operations for a licensed digital bank in Bahrain and Jordan across dev, UAT, SIT and production accounts — production deploys through Jenkins, incident investigation, access and change management in a regulated, audited environment.
   • Keep the legacy core-banking estate running alongside the cloud — the end-of-day batch and Control-M job chains, Oracle replication through DMS, Linux and PCI golden-image patching with Systems Manager, and AWS Backup policies; built SSM automations for daily database refreshes and a scheduled scale-up/down engine for non-production EKS and Aurora.
   • Built a guarded operations toolkit for the AWS estate — one scripted command per task across EKS, databases, Lambda, EC2 and Jenkins, dry-run by default, explicit execution and production confirmation, an account guard that refuses any AWS change aimed at the wrong account, and secrets kept out of every output.
   • Own the server security-agent fleet — Taegis (EDR), Symantec (antivirus) and Tripwire (file-integrity monitoring): scripted install, upgrade and verification through Systems Manager, including finding and fixing golden-image servers that registered with cloned agent identities, so the security console saw two servers as one; remediate Tenable/Nessus vulnerability findings with InfoSec and run PCI image patching.
   • Built the Lambda Operations Console, where operations staff run approved customer operations on live production with a test run before every real change, and the monitoring that emails the service desk — including an onboarding watch for Bahrain and Jordan that checks every 5 minutes, whose 30-day backtest found an 8-hour outage nobody had noticed.
   • Built a reusable, security-hardened Terraform module library with an estate console for inventory and reviewed Terraform changes, validated against real AWS on the sandbox account.

2. ServiceDesk Engineer, ila Bank (full-time contractor) · Computer World

   Sep 2020 – Nov 2022
   • Monitored ila Bank's AWS services (CloudWatch, Logs Insights, Step Functions), raising incidents and following them up with the owning teams, before moving to cloud operations.

3. Developer (part-time) · Online Media & Trading

   Feb – Sep 2020
   • Developed 10+ mobile applications for 10 different clients, with Flutter on the front end and Firebase on the back end.

4. ICT Department · Dar Albilad Newspaper

   Feb 2019 – Sep 2020
   • Built internal systems and automations for other departments, including a WhatsApp news-broadcast system, and monetized the paper's WhatsApp channel through Google Ads.

5. Website Developer (part-time, while studying) · Quality Code

   Jan 2018 – Jan 2019
   • Built an online platform for institutes — learning materials, exams and attendance, replacing paper — adopted by 17+ institutes in Bahrain. Promoted to leader of the ICT team.
